Their sole offensive attack, a running headbutt, is telegraphed with a short vocalization while rearing back. If the attack connects too early, Aya will only be stunned momentarily, but if allowed to gain full speed, it will knock her down for full damage. The attack is easily dodged in open spaces, made easier by Aya not locking onto her target as she moves in a direction perpendicular to the Chaser.
Chasers can be baited into running into walls, railings, etc., knocking themselves to the ground while sustaining 15 points of damage.
This will damage, but not kill a Chaser; their HP will remain at 1, regardless of how many times they hit a wall.
This can be exploited to even greater effect outside of the Mesa, where baiting them off the cliff results in an instant kill. However, the same can happen to Aya if she is the one knocked over by a Chaser: Take caution while attempting to exploit this strategy.
Pyrokinesis and various other attacks can knock them down as well, but may fail to do so when they are charging. When they are down, the likely of doing weakness (2x) damage will greatly increase.
During the first battle at the Water Tower, all Chasers will take double the normal damage and Combat Lights will cause one to attack immediately.
