The Armor of Parasite Eve. This equipment is used to help keep Aya alive during the most dire of combat situations. Like with weapons, they can be modded with permits and tools to improve their defensive potential.
Stats[]
- DE : Defense Power
- PE : Parasite Energy Defense Power
- CR : Critical Evasion Rate %
- Slots / Max: The number of special ability slots available. If there is no maximum number, it already starts at that. Some armor comes with special abilities. A player can use tools to move these abilities between different armors.
- The armors' stats are for the base and bonus.
- The armors in Chrysler Building can only be found in EX game.
Special effects are here.
Best armor[]
First-time Play-through[]
Day 1 | Find the N Protector in Carnegie Hall and use it. In the long hallway, go to the first room on the left (after Aya obtains the Theater Key) and Aya will find it through a crawlspace she must examine and crawl through. Try to build an unbroken chain of bonuses to Tool over to successive armors. Only place unique abilities (like HP Up) on your intended Final Boss armor. Accumulated bonuses will more than compensate for "better" base stats (the difference between "best" and "second best" is modest, typically 3-5 points.) |
Day 2 | Find the Sp Vest 1 in Central Park's office and equip it. |
Day 3 | Find the Cm Vest 2 in the N.Y.P.D. conference room which automatically comes with Auto-heal and equip it. Note regarding AutoHeal: it uses the most powerful healing items in your inventory first, whether it's appropriate or not. That ultra-rare Full Cure you found? BURNED. Keeping manual control of item expenditure is often more efficient, just remember to keep an eye on your health. If you feel that way, you'll want to stick with the Cr Vest 1 found in SoHo. Or Tool the AutoHeal to the Cr Vest 1 and get the best of both worlds. |
Day 4 |
Find the B Vest 1 on the hospital main floor but simply keep it for now, as it has a nice anti-poison effect you'll want to save for later. You can use the CM Vest 2 and switch to B Vest 1 if you're dealing with poisonous enemies, although Parasite Energy "Detox" is cheap and almost always available, so you may instead wish to keep the CM Vest 2 and use a slot to protect against nastier status effects, like Blindness or Paralysis. |
Day 5 Pt.1 |
Find the CM Protector at the warehouse to make it your new armor. It automatically comes with Auto-Heal, and you can mod anti-poison into it using the B Vest 1. Then go do the Chinatown-sewers-subway level. Find the Cr Protector in the sewer labyrinth, and mod the HP up from it into the CM Protector. Or, if you think AutoHeal is overrated, keep the Cr Protector as your base armor and use a SuperTool to transfer the AT Slowdown to an unwanted armor. |
Day 5 Pt.2 |
Find the B Jacket 1 in the museum's fourth floor. To do so, in the security room, go right of the control panels and you'll find a secret elevator. Mod auto-heal and HP up into it, and you will have an effective armor for the rest of the game. Or, just run with the previous armor, boosted with Bonus Points; see previous note regarding "Detox". Unless you want to do the Trading Card quest for Supertools to transfer everything to a new armor, you're "probably" good as-is. |
EX Game and Beyond[]
The goal is to obtain and mod the Cr Armor 2, found at Chrysler Building, floors 61-70. Use Mod Permits / Trading Cards to max. the armor slot capacity to 10 and attach the following salvaged from other armors:
- All status resistances
- Item Capacity +4
- Max HP+
- Attack +
- PE Light
- Optional: Automatic Medicine and Automatic Cures
