Revision as of 19:42, 16 February 2020
The Armor of Parasite Eve II is different than the original Parasite Eve system in that defense no longer exists and instead Armor boosts Aya's HP and MP along with giving her new abilities in some cases. In most cases, the armor determines what kind of character Aya will be, whether more physically or magically based in terms of combat.
Starting/Found Armor
These armors the player either begins a section of the game with or can found as they play through.
Any details marked in blue refers to in-game data that cannot be seen under normal circumstances.
Leather Jacket
Leather Jacket |
ADD HP:
|
+10
|
Description: Aya's favourite leather jacket. Decent armor with special lining.
| ||
One of the two default armors. Unlike her second armor, the Assault Suit, this gives a HP bonus rather than MP, as well as 2 less attachment slots. It is very similar to Aya's outfit from the first Parasite Eve game (design-wise).
|
Assault Suit
Assault Suit |
ADD HP:
|
-
|
Description: Good desert jacket. Has attachments, but poor protection.
| ||
A replacement of the Leather Jacket, providing a +10 boost to MP rather than HP. This becomes Aya's default "appearance" for the rest of the game.
|
Chicken Plate
Chicken Plate |
ADD HP:
|
+60
|
Description: Flak jacket worn by bomber pilots. Ceramic vest plates absorb impact.
| ||
Being rewarded this armor prevents the player from getting the Soldier Rescue Bonus (because Flint has died). However, it does feature a solid HP bonus, allows the player to regenerate HP after battle and survive heavy damage that would kill Aya. Still, the Tactical Vest functions in a similar way (regarding how it handles HP) and can be acquired shortly after this armor is made available.

Tactical Vest

ADD HP:

|
Description: Bulletproof SWAT vest. Includes an emergency first aid kit.
Scavenger & Nightmare?: Yes
An excellent armor sporting a massive bonus to HP as well as a large number of attachment slots. It enables a small amount of HP regen after every battle (equivalent of mp gained per battle, indispensable when amoebas are present), minimizing the number of healing items needed to get by. Many compares this armor to the Combat Armor due to their versatility, thought the Tactical Vest is much more inclined towards non-PE offensive playstyle compared to the Combat Armor.
|
Armor for Sale
These armors can be purchased throughout the game.
Turtle Vest
Turtle Vest |
ADD HP:
|
+5
|
Description: NMC Hunter reinforced vest. Can bw worn under regular clothing.
Scavenger & Nightmare?: Yes
The first accessible armor that gives a good chunk of bonus to MP, intended for players who prefer the use of PE. It also sports MP Recovery, enabling more use of PEs overtime, as well as immunity to paralysis in exchange for a lower number of attachment slots. A decent substitute to the Assault Suit, trading off 2 attachment slots for a more prominent PE-Heavy play style.
|
Combat Armor
Combat Armor |
ADD HP:
|
+40
|
Description: Heavy police body armor. Helmet amplifier prevents Silence.
Scavenger & Nightmare?: Yes
This serves as one of the first main body armors, but is terribly expensive when it is first accessible in Bouquet's Guns and Ammo at MIST HQ. This armor is very versatile and will last a long while should one purchase it early on. Sporting a staggering HP and sizeable MP bonus, coupled with 5 attachment slots, the armor is jack of all trades. Immunity to silence ensures PE users to be combat ready at all times while the Motion Detector negates the need for GPS, granting a valuable attachment slot for other necessities. Similar in nature to the Tactical vest but is designed to be a PE reliant survival gear than the armament-heavy offensive Tactical Vest.
|
Shoulder Holster
Shoulder Holster |
ADD HP:
|
-
|
Description: Holster worn over a T-shirt.
Scavenger & Nightmare?: Yes
The first accessible armor that features Quick Fire, improving fire rate of all weapons. A decent armor that provides a chunk of bonus to MP as well as decent number of attachment slot. It's rendered obsolete compared to the Tactical Vest later on.
|
PASGT Vest
PASGT Vest |
ADD HP:
|
+20
|
Description: Body armor in current military use. Includes an emergency first aid kit.
Scavenger & Nightmare?: Yes
A unique piece of armor that one can purchase post Nekropolis scenario, first of which features HP recovery. Essentially a predecessor to the Tactical Vest, designed to cut down the number of healing item usage on the long run. Coupled with poison immunity, great number of attachment slots and a sizeable HP bonus, the armor is quite versatile while having a good price to boot.
|
NBC Suit
NBC Suit |
ADD HP:
|
+20
|
Description: Environmental NBC protection suit. Suitable for long-term wear.
| ||
This suit is the middle of the road model between the Combat Armor and the PsySuit that can be purchased in the Shelter. It has a balance between HP and MP bonuses and also has some nice resistances to some annoying status ailments. |
PsySuit
PsySuit |
ADD HP:
|
-
|
Description: Neo-mitochondria labsuit. Includes remote ANMC analyzer.
| ||
A major improvement over the Turtle Vest granting a massive boost to MP (second only to the Monk Robe) and a decent number of attachment slots. It is a unique piece of armor as it features Enemy HP display and immunity to confusion, enabling a focused take down of a single target in a mob. |
EOD Suit
EOD Suit |
ADD HP:
|
+100
|
Description: Explosives squad body armor. Resists explosions and heat.
| ||
This armor features a titanic HP bonus; essentially doubling your base HP value. Designed to be a pure tank armor with its HP bonus and Resist Impact feature. Coupled with Antibody PE lvl.3, Aya can withstand the most damaging of attacks with more than enough HP remaining to boot. |
Aya Special
Aya Special |
ADD HP:
|
+30
|
Description: Aya's custom-made armored vest. Outfitted for anti-NMC operations.
Scavenger & Nightmare?: No
An excellent armor that is only knocked down by its horrible price tag and late point of accessibility, this red vest provides an ample bonus to HP and MP (moreso towards MP). Sporting a great number of attachment slots, Quick Fire and MP recovery, this armor provides Aya with a suitable boost in combat performance. One of the two most versatile armors, next to Tactical Armor, the piece is inclined to PE-heavy offensive combat scenarios. Essentially, it is a beefed up Combat Armor that focuses on offensive PE-heavy playstyle. |
Tactical Armor
Tactical Armor |
ADD HP:

|
Description: Modern all-terrain combat armor. Includes heads-up motion detector.
Scavenger & Nightmare?: No
Essentially a mix of the 4 most versatile armor sets in the game. Having a massive HP boost akin to the Tactical Vest, great bonus to MP of Combat Armor and the highest number of starting attachment slot to boot. The second armor to have built in motion detector (the other being Combat Armor); negating the need for GPS. It's also the second (and only) armor to sport HP display (previously featured in PsySuit), enabling a focused take down of one enemy among the mob. One of the two most versatile pieces of armor, on par with Aya Special, albeit more focused on non-PE reliant combat situations. Essentially a beefed up Tactical Armor. |
Special Armor
This armor is obtainable through special circumstances.
Monk Robe

ADD HP:

Description: Mitochondria worshipper's mantle. NMC blood stains boost PE.

This armor features a massive MP boost, maximum default attachment slots and allows you to regenerate MP as you take damage in combat. In order to get it, you must either:
It is an amazing suit of armor that puts the PE mechanic to its utmost potential. |
